In New Orleans the ILCA set up 17 stations equipped with text, photo, audio and video editing capability to facilitate the stream of stories being told about the city 2 years past this country's worst disaster. As an experiment, the ILCA took on the task to demonstrate the power of the net and possibility for unions to set up labor media action centers and get the story told in rapid fashion. The technology needed and network for airing of stories is no longer cost prohibitive.
This was the first of its kind - we are sure to see many more wherever the workers' story needs to be told.
